Typical pet surgery Neuter
This procedure benefits greatly from the laser. We first made a pre-scrotal or scrotal incision before utilizing the laser. We also used a scalpel blade to cut the tunic, the covering that covers the testicles, during the process. The scrotum would expand over several days after surgery when using the scalpel in this manner as little blood vessels leaked. It was evident that this was quite uncomfortable in such a delicate area. Using the laser has entirely gotten rid of this.
Bladder Surgery
This is a dog with the stone being removed from the bladder after the laser incision.
Bladder stones are not uncommon in animals. The bladder is usually inflamed and highly vascular, causing significant bleeding when we incise the bladder to remove a stone. The laser has revolutionized this surgery.
Rat Mammary Tumor
It is common for rats to get a mammary tumor under the skin. The laser surgical tool has made it very easy to remove the tumor with minimal to no bleeding. This is an important achievement in small animals and makes it possible for the animal to recover quickly with little to no pain.
